The IAMPETH Penman's Journal has a rich history of providing high-quality instruction on fine penmanship. Its origins trace back to The Business Educator, first published in the late 1800s by the Zanerian College, which eventually became The Educator. Around 1949, the publication of The Educator by Zaner-Bloser was reportedly coming to an end. In response, several esteemed penmen—including R.C. King, Frank A. Krupp, Stephen Ziller, P.L. Zenzen, Oscar Japs, and F.O. Anderson—gathered to discuss creating a new publication to continue its legacy. With encouragement from P.Z. Bloser and E.A. Lupfer of Zaner-Bloser, F.O. Anderson (all founding members of IAMPETH) launched The Penman's News-Letter in 1949. For a detailed view of the newsletter's lineage, see the journal lineage here.
The Penman’s Journal is produced quarterly and published at the end of each quarter.
