CALLIGRAPHER IN THE HEART OF THE BORDEAUX VINEYARDS
Graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux (France), the work around the letter fascinates me from childhood. Learning to read opens up horizons for me to access the world. Every advertisement, sign, sentence on the screen or in the streets catches my attention. It was at the age of six that I was offered my first feathers and first feather holders. Noémie Keren learned calligraphy with international calligraphers including Carl Rohrs (USA), Bakhyt Kadyrova (Russia), Bego Vinuela (Spain), Ricardo Rousselot (Spain), Betty Soldi (Italy), Nina Tran (USA) & Yves Leterme (Belgique).
That said, like any craft, learning continues every day & that’s what makes this practice so happy. « The richness of our calligraphic heritage is such that one lifetime will not be enough to make me discover all the finesse of this art! »
